HK$36,465 to HK$58,922 (HGPS Pt 14 to Pt 24) per month including Monthly Allowance

[To be pro-rated based on the total package and work pattern for a full-time Radiation Therapist II depending on the work hours.]

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance
 

Key Responsibilities:

I.       Primary Function

To undertake a broad portfolio of radiotherapy procedures in the delivery of care for radiotherapy patients. Being an integral member of the radiotherapy team to ensure the delivery of high quality clinical care.
 

II.     Key Result Areas / Job Description

1. Planning (including Simulation & CT Simulation)

a) Design basic treatment plan in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.

b) Produce basic treatment plans.

c) Calculate radiation dose.

d) Prepare treatment records.

e) Perform treatment plan simulation and verification.

f) Perform complex treatment plan under supervision.
 

2. Treatment

a) Perform QA check of the radiotherapy equipment before operations.

b) Deliver basic radiotherapy.

c) Monitor patient’s radiation reactions, general conditions and treatment compliance.

d) Advise and counsel patient on self-care and risk associated with radiotherapy.

e) Deliver complex radiotherapy under supervision.
 

3. Training

Participate in RT students’ clinical teaching.
 

Entry Requirements:

  1.   A degree in Radiography (Therapy) from a local university or equivalent.

  2.  Be a registered Part I or Part II (full registration) Radiographer (Therapeutic) and have a valid Practicing Certificate under the Allied Health Professions Ordinance.
