Job Description - Accounts Officer Travel & Tourism

Location: Kochi
Department: Finance & Accounts
Experience: 3+ Years (Travel & Tourism industry experience preferred)
Qualification: B.Com, Finance, Accounting, or related field

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail -oriented Accounts Officer to manage daily accounting activities, financial records, vendor payments, bank reconciliations, and statutory compliance. The candidate should have strong accounting knowledge and experience handling financial transactions accurately.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance

  • Maintain day -to -day accounting records and transactions.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare invoices, vouchers, receipts, and journal entries.
  • Process vendor payments and customer billing.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

Travel & Tourism Accounting

  • Verify customer payments, refunds, and booking -related transactions.
  • Coordinate with sales and operations teams regarding payment status.
  • Review supplier invoices and settle vendor payments.
  • Process employee reimbursements and expense claims.
  • Calculate commissions and incentive payments.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
  • Assist in tax filings and audit requirements.
  • Prepare monthly MIS reports and financial statements.
  • Support budgeting and financial analysis activities.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience in GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency in Tally Prime/Tally ERP and Advanced Excel.
  • Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the Travel & Tourism industry.
  • Knowledge of Zoho Books, QuickBooks, SAP, or ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with travel accounting software will be an advantage.
