The KPMG Global Services (KGS) Deal Advisory & Strategy (DA&S) team offers advisory support across deal life cycle space and provides services on aspects preceding and succeeding a deal. Our service networks assess deal demands by carrying out due diligence both from the buy-side and the sell-side perspectives.

The team of over 1,700 professionals boasts proven capabilities in various sectors, such as financial services, consumer markets, healthcare and life sciences, energy and natural resources, industrial markets and TMT,
addressing clients’ needs to resolve complex transactional and strategic challenges.

Responsibilities

•Support strategy engagements across commercial and operational due diligence, growth strategy, value creation and performance improvement

•Apply hypothesis-led problem solving to structure ambiguous client questions and translate them into clear analytical workplans

•Conduct commercial and market analysis, including market sizing, customer and competitor assessment, business-model analysis, competitive benchmarking, survey analysis and strategic-fit evaluation

•Analyse client, market, financial and operational data to identify revenue-growth, cost-optimisation and broader value-creation opportunities, including across supply chain, procurement, manufacturing and back-office functions

•Work with structured and unstructured datasets, alongside primary and secondary research and stakeholder interviews, to test hypotheses and develop fact-based insights

•Develop business cases, financial analyses, business plans, strategic roadmaps, go-to-market strategies and success KPIs to evaluate and support strategic initiatives

•Lead workstreams and analyses on engagements, coordinating team inputs and taking responsibility for small teams where required

•Synthesise complex quantitative and qualitative findings into clear insights, practical recommendations and high-quality reports and presentations, delivered within agreed timelines

•Collaborate closely with onshore KPMG teams in developing analyses, recommendations and client deliverables, while proactively communicating progress and emerging issues

•Support business development through proposals and contribute to thought leadership and knowledge management

Qualifications

Educational qualifications

•MBA from a recognised institution, preferably with a specialisation in strategy, finance, marketing, operations or a related discipline

Work experience

•2–5 years of relevant experience in strategy consulting, with exposure to one or more of commercial due diligence, operational due diligence, growth strategy, value creation or performance improvement
