Job Description - Aluminium Design Managers- Doors, Windows

Positions: 2 (1 Assistant Manager, 1 Deputy Manager)

Experience: 5 - 14 years

Salary: ₹15 - 25 Lacs P.A. (AM: ₹15 - 16 LPA / DM: ₹20 - 22 LPA)

Industry: Building Material / Fenestration Department: Engineering Design / R&D

Education: B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical) or B.Des (Industrial Design) or equivalent

Open Positions :

Assistant Manager Aluminium Design (5 - 9 yrs, ₹15 - 16 LPA): a hands-on design role covering drawings, specifications, prototyping and project delivery.

Deputy Manager – Aluminium Design (9 - 14 yrs, ₹20 - 22 LPA): a lead role covering new product development, managing the design project pipeline, mentoring the team and acting as the main design contact for architects and key clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Create detailed design drawings, specifications and prototypes for aluminium doors and windows, in line with industry standards.

Drive new concepts and design innovation using market trends, competitor products and customer insights.

Run quality checks on prototypes and final products, and resolve design issues with the manufacturing team.

Manage several design projects at once and deliver them on time, within scope and within budget.

Work with architects, consultants, engineers and clients to understand their needs and turn them into technical solutions.

Give technical support to the sales and marketing teams on product features, benefits and project-specific solutions.

Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, QC and project teams so designs move smoothly into production.

Work with suppliers on materials, profiles and hardware, and keep up with new materials and technologies.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes and regulatory requirements.

Keep design documentation and project records thorough and accurate.

(DM) Guide and mentor the design team, review their work and lead cost optimisation in design and materials.

Desired Candidate Profile :

5 - 14 years of experience designing aluminium windows, doors or façade systems, with a strong project portfolio.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (or similar), plus CAD/CAM tools.

Sound knowledge of aluminium profiles, hardware, glazing, material properties and fabrication processes.

Awareness of the relevant codes, standards and regulatory requirements.

Cost-conscious design approach, with an understanding of budgets and material optimisation.

Creative, detail-oriented and adaptable, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

For the DM role, experience leading design projects or teams is required.
