About the Role: We are looking for a hands-on communications professional to create and manage content across formats including writing, design, and storytelling. The role focuses on managing social media, producing visual and written content, and capturing field stories to build a strong and engaging digital presence. You will work closely with programme teams to translate on-ground work into impactful narratives for diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design & Visual Communication
Create social media creatives, campaign materials, and event collaterals using Canva aligned with brand identity
Support design of reports, brochures, presentations, and donor materials
Use Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop for advanced design needs when required
Edit short videos and reels capturing field impact and storytelling moments
Maintain visual consistency across all communication outputs
Manage communications calendar and ensure timely content delivery
2. Social Media & Digital Presence
Own day-to-day management of social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, X)
Plan and schedule content, write captions, and engage with audiences
Track performance metrics and basic analytics to improve content strategy
Stay updated on digital trends and integrate relevant practices
Ensure alignment of tone, voice, and messaging across platforms
3. Website & Digital Content Management
Update and maintain website content across programmes, events, and reports
Coordinate with teams to ensure timely publication of updates and stories
4. Storytelling & Field Content
Visit field locations to collect stories, visuals, and insights
Develop case studies, quotes, and narrative content from field engagement
Maintain a structured repository of stories, images, and content assets
Write across formats: captions, articles, newsletters, donor updates, and scripts
5. Campaigns & Collaboration
Support and execute communication campaigns and advocacy initiatives
Capture real-time content during events and field activities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integrated storytelling
Support planning, coordination, and timely execution of communication outputs
Required Skills & Experience:
4–5 years of experience in communications, content creation, digital marketing, or related fields.
Strong portfolio showcasing writing, design, or multimedia content.
Proficiency in Canva (mandatory); working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Experience managing social media platforms and content calendars.
Ability to create and edit short-form videos and reels.
Strong writing skills across formats and audience types.
Basic understanding of Google Analytics (Google Ads is a plus).
Experience managing or updating websites (CMS preferred).
Strong organisational skills and ability to handle multiple deadlines.
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to travel for field visits (within Mumbai and occasionally across Maharashtra)
Strong ownership mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
Comfortable working in ambiguous, evolving environments
