Job Description - Area Sales Business Manager - MEAL


Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

As an Area Sales Business Manager at Mahindra Electric Automobile Limited, you will play a pivotal role in driving both sales volume and market share within your designated territory. Your responsibilities will include:



  • Sales and Customer Experience Management: Leading demand generation efforts, monitoring dealer performance across various markets to enhance market share, and ensuring exceptional customer experience across all touchpoints including pre-sales, sales, showroom, and digital interactions.

  • Billing and Order Fulfilment: Overseeing order availability to guarantee timely billing and delivery of vehicles, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure seamless transaction processing.

  • Retail Operations: Managing ETBR processes, executing activation plans that encompass enquiry generation and market coverage, and leading hyperlocal digital initiatives to stimulate dealer engagement and customer interest.

  • Market Activations and Special Initiatives: Spearheading grassroots market activation campaigns, implementing special schemes and incentives to boost sales, and ensuring effective infrastructure readiness to support operations.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with charging infrastructure teams and other stakeholders to maintain smooth operational workflows and support business growth.


This role demands active involvement in strategising and executing sales plans while fostering strong relationships with dealers and customers to exceed business targets.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have a robust professional background featuring 3-5 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 2 years specifically within automotive sales. This experience should ideally involve a proven track record of achieving sales targets, managing dealer networks, and improving customer satisfaction metrics.


Experience in electric vehicles (EV) or allied automotive sectors will be highly regarded given the evolving nature of the industry and the company’s commitment to innovative e-mobility solutions.


Additionally, candidates with exposure to market activation, digital marketing initiatives, and cross-functional team coordination will find this role well-suited to their skills.

Industry Preferred

Preferred industries for this role include:



  • Automotive Industry – with focus on Passenger Vehicles (PV), Two-Wheelers (2W), and Three-Wheelers (3W).

  • Electric Vehicles (EV) sector – encompassing experience in electric mobility, technologies, and sales processes.

  • Auto Components and Allied Industries – familiarity with the supply chain, manufacturing, or technology integration within the automotive ecosystem.


Candidates with experience in these areas will be better equipped to understand market dynamics, customer expectations, and dealer networks relevant to Mahindra Electric Automobile Limited’s vision and objectives.

Qualifications

Educational qualifications required for the position:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E. or B.Tech) is essential, providing a solid foundation in technical aspects relevant to automotive products and solutions.

  • An MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree is preferred, demonstrating a strong grasp of business management, marketing strategies, and sales operations.


Educational background complemented by practical experience in sales and customer relationship management will help candidates excel in this role.

Demonstrated skills in communication, leadership, and strategic planning are critical in fulfilling these general requirements.
