Assistant Engineer - Mechanical

1. Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance

• Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for raw mill, hopper, and associated equipment.


• Oversee maintenance of belt conveyors, screw conveyors, bucket elevators, rotary feeders, and air slides.


• Monitor wear parts (liners, lifters, rollers) and schedule timely replacement.

2. Operations Support

• Support production in achieving targeted raw mill throughput and product quality.


• Resolve hopper clogging, jamming, and material flow problems to avoid stoppages.

3. Equipment Inspection & Optimization

• Conduct routine inspections for vibration, noise, lubrication, and alignment.


• Implement mechanical modifications to enhance capacity and reduce downtime.

4. Planning & Coordination

• Prepare annual maintenance budgets for raw mill and hopper sections.


• Coordinate with electrical, instrumentation, and production teams for shutdowns.

5. Troubleshooting & RCA

• Lead root cause analysis for mechanical failures and recurring issues.


• Implement long-term corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.

6. Safety & Compliance

• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with cement industry standards.


• Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) before maintenance activities.

7. Team Leadership

• Guide and supervise a team of fitters and maintenance technicians.


• Train team members on cement plant-specific mechanical systems and safety practices.
