Assistant General Manager -Quality

We are looking for an AGM – Quality to lead end-to-end quality management for BESS manufacturing, covering Cell/Module/Pack, LV & HV Pack, Rack and Container Integration. The role will be responsible for establishing robust quality systems, ensuring product and process compliance, driving defect reduction and leading NPI/industrialization quality from prototype to mass production.

1. Quality Leadership

• Lead the Quality function across BESS manufacturing and assembly operations.


• Develop and implement quality strategy, objectives, KPIs and improvement plans.


• Drive FPY, DPPM, rejection, rework, customer complaints and COPQ improvement.


• Establish a strong quality culture across production, engineering and supply chain.

2. Process & Manufacturing Quality

• Ensure quality controls across Cell → Module → Pack → Rack → Container/BESS manufacturing.


• Define and monitor Control Plans, SOPs, Inspection Standards and Quality Gates.


• Drive IPQC, incoming quality, in-process inspection and final inspection.


• Implement SPC, MSA, Poka-Yoke and statistical quality-control techniques.

3. NPI / Prototype & Industrialization

• Lead quality activities for Prototype → Pilot → Mass Production.


• Review and approve DFMEA, PFMEA, Process Flow, Control Plan and PPAP/APQP documentation.


• Support DFM/DFA reviews and ensure quality readiness before SOP.


• Establish inspection and testing standards for new BESS products and processes.

4. BESS Product Quality

• Ensure quality of LV/HV battery packs, BMS integration, busbars, harnesses, cooling/thermal systems, racks, PCS interfaces and container integration.


• Establish quality standards for electrical, mechanical and functional testing.


• Ensure traceability of critical components, serial numbers, test results and production history through MES/QMS.

5. Supplier Quality

• Lead supplier quality management for critical BESS components.


• Drive Supplier PPAP, audits, incoming quality, 8D, SCAR and supplier improvement plans.


• Work closely with SCM and Engineering for supplier qualification and development.

6. Customer Quality

• Lead customer complaints, warranty issues and field-quality investigations.


• Drive 8D, RCA, CAPA and corrective/preventive actions.


• Monitor customer quality KPIs and ensure timely closure of quality issues.

7. Quality Systems & Compliance

• Establish and maintain QMS in line with applicable ISO and industry requirements.


• Ensure compliance with relevant IEC, UL, CE and other BESS/product-specific standards.


• Lead internal, external, customer and certification audits.


• Maintain quality documentation, procedures and records.

8. Continuous Improvement

• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, RCA, Pareto and CAPA initiatives.


• Identify recurring defects and implement systemic corrective actions.


• Reduce scrap, rework and manufacturing losses while improving FPY and OEE.

• Strong understanding of BESS / Lithium-ion battery manufacturing

• 8D, RCA, CAPA, SPC, MSA


• Supplier Quality Management


• NPI / New Product Introduction


• QMS and audit management
