What You'll Build

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Architect with strong AWS expertise and

hands -on experience in migrating workloads from on -premises or other clouds (Azure/GCP)

to AWS. The ideal candidate will lead cloud transformation initiatives, design scalable

infrastructure, and automate delivery pipelines for mission -critical systems.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

AWS Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering

Design, build, and maintain AWS environments leveraging EC2, EBS, AMIs, VPC, IAM,
S3, and related core services.
Implement multi -account setups using AWS Organizations, SCPs, and account baselines.
Ensure security and compliance through IAM best practices, encryption, and monitoring
tools.
Work within the AWS shared responsibility model to ensure secure and reliable operations.

Migration and Modernization

Lead end -to -end workload migration from on -prem, Azure, or GCP to AWS using tools like MGN, DMS, DataSync, and VM Import/Export.
Define and execute migration strategies — rehost, re -platform, and re -architect.
Conduct dependency mapping and discovery using AWS ADS or custom/manual methods.
Manage cut over planning, IP/CIDR overlap resolution, and DNS transitions with Route 53.

Networking & Connectivity

Design and implement connectivity solutions including Site -to -Site VPNs, Client VPNs,and basic Direct Connect setups.
Translate on -prem firewall and network policies to AWS Networking constructs (NACLs, Security Groups).

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

Develop and manage infrastructure using Terraform (modules, remote state, environment separation) and optionally CloudFormation.
Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
Automate environment provisioning, AMI baking, health checks, and migration validation using Bash/Python scripts.

Containers & Application Modernization

Containerize legacy workloads using Docker and optimize images via Dockerfiles.
Deploy and manage containerized applications in ECS (Fargate/EC2) and EKS.
Contribute to monolith -to -microservices migration strategies.

Database Migration

Migrate MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle databases to AWS platforms using
DMS and snapshot -based methods.
Implement high -availability and near -zero downtime migration strategies.
Manage AWS -native databases such as RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB.

Security, Governance & Monitoring

Enforce least privilege access, role -based authentication, and KMS -based encryption.
Integrate CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Config, and GuardDuty for monitoring and auditing.
Participate in cost optimization and performance tuning post -migration.

Leadership & Collaboration

Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and ensure best practices across DevOps teams.
Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and security teams to deliver robust,automated cloud solutions.
Lead operational readiness reviews and post -migration optimization efforts.

Required skills and qualifications:

AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional and/or Security Specialty (mandatory).
Define and enforce AWS governance, security baselines, and best practices across Control Tower, Landing Zones, and multi -account enterprise environments.
Own end -to -end migration planning, including wave design, cutover runbooks, rollback strategies, and stakeholder communication for production go -lives.
Deploy and manage containerized applications on ECS (Fargate/EC2) and EKS, including scaling, observability, and security best practices.
Design and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform (modules, remote state, environment separation) and optionally CloudFormation, ensuring consistent, repeatable environments.
Build and optimize secure, observable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins, with automated testing and policy guardrails.
Migrate MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle databases to AWS using DMS and snapshot -based approaches, ensuring data integrity, performance, and minimal downtime.
Lead architecture and design across AWS and other clouds (Azure, GCP, Oracle Cloud), ensuring consistent security, networking, and DR patterns in hybrid and multi -cloud environments.
Design and implement high -availability architectures and near -zero -downtime migration strategies aligned to agreed RTO/RPO objectives.
Drive measurable improvements in cost optimization, disaster recovery posture, and compliance (for example, ISO, SOC, PCI) through architecture and governance.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross -functional teams.
Strong Windows/Linux operating system, troubleshooting, and networking skills, including VPC, VPN, and hybrid connectivity.
