In India, our platform supports digital mortgage valuation, project finance and legal workflows across a connected ecosystem of lenders, valuers, legal professionals and property data. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a commercially driven leader to build executive relationships, open strategic opportunities and help financial institutions modernise the way property decisions are made.
Why this role matters
This is a high-impact business development role in one of Valocity's most important growth markets. You will work closely with the India CEO, customer teams, product teams and senior leaders to identify opportunities, build trusted relationships and help customers solve complex property decisioning challenges.
What you will be doing
This role is focused on converting and managing relationships with clients and industry partners, particularly in Mumbai and across the Indian financial services ecosystem. It is an individual contributor role today, with the opportunity to build a team over time.
Business development
Research and identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, services and ways of reaching existing markets.
Seek out the appropriate contacts within target organisations.
Generate leads through direct outreach, meetings and engagement with prospective customers.
Build trusted relationships with major clients to support customer satisfaction, retention and business growth.
Act as a key communication link between customers and internal teams.
Understand customer needs and respond with clear plans for how Valocity can support them.
Use strategic thinking and commercial acumen to develop your network and create holistic solutions for client challenges.
Plan and execute operational changes required to support customer and business outcomes.
Develop strong understanding of Valocity products and services and be able to advise stakeholders about them.
Ensure internal functions are aligned on customer requirements, change needs and delivery expectations.
Support team training where appropriate, including arranging external training when required.
Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing team.
Develop a thorough understanding of lender businesses, products and services to advise internal and external stakeholders effectively.
Use experience in public sector banks as an advantage where relevant.
Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate to create visibility for Valocity.
Partnerships and marketing
Establish a systematic process for partner outreach and relationship management.
Build and develop commercial and strategic relationships with targeted partners.
Negotiate and finalise deals with partners and alliances that benefit the company.
Support the marketing team from time to time with content creation and events.
What we are looking for
Experience
10-12 years of experience in B2B sales, alliances or business development.
Experience in the financial services, fintech or technology sectors.
Experience selling technology solutions to enterprise customers.
Strong network and relationships across the banking and financial services industry.
Experience managing or selling to public sector banks will be an added advantage.
Ability to manage strategic customer relationships and complex commercial conversations.
Experience working cross-functionally with product, operations, technology and marketing teams.
Qualifications
MBA graduate in Sales and Marketing from a premier business school.
