This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Associate Staff Engineer, Workday HCM Integration Consultant based in India.


This role offers the opportunity to design, develop, and support enterprise HR technology solutions through Workday HCM integrations.
You will play a key role in connecting business processes with scalable technical solutions that improve employee experiences and operational efficiency.
The position combines integration development, configuration expertise, production support, and collaboration with global stakeholders.
You will work across HR, IT, and business teams to deliver reliable solutions using modern Workday tools and integration frameworks.
Your expertise will help optimize HR systems, resolve complex challenges, and support continuous improvements across enterprise platforms.

Accountabilities:



  • Develop, implement, maintain, and support Workday HCM integrations with enterprise systems and third-party applications.

  • Design and troubleshoot integrations using Workday technologies including Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Core Connectors, Benefits Connectors, Payroll Effective Change Interface (PECI), Workday Studio, and Document Transformation.

  • Configure and support Workday Business Processes, functional enhancements, and ongoing system improvements.

  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Workday reports, including BIRT reports, to support business and operational needs.

  • Manage Workday configuration activities including onboarding content, questionnaires, templates, and related system components.

  • Configure and maintain Workday security roles, domains, security profiles, and user access settings.

  • Provide technical and functional support for Workday modules and related operational processes.

  • Handle incidents, service requests, and change requests through ITSM processes while ensuring timely resolution and adherence to service standards.

  • Manage support activities related to Workday Community, including operational requests, data corrections, notifications, mapping updates, and system maintenance activities.

  • Create and maintain project and support tracking activities using tools such as JIRA for sprint planning, issue management, and progress reporting.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, implementation partners, and internal IT teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.

  • Prepare technical documentation, integration specifications, knowledge articles, and operational runbooks.

  • Analyze system issues, perform troubleshooting, and recommend improvements to enhance platform performance and reliability.

  • Stay updated on Workday product enhancements and identify opportunities to improve business processes and system capabilities.


Requirements:



  • 4+ years of professional experience with Workday HCM integration development, configuration, and production support.

  • Hands-on experience building and supporting Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Benefits Connectors, PECI, Workday Studio, and Document Transformation.

  • Strong understanding of Workday HCM modules including Core HCM, Compensation, Payroll, Recruiting, Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Employee Management, and Learning Management System (LMS).

  • Experience with Workday Business Process configuration and ongoing functional support.

  • Experience developing and maintaining Workday Reports and BIRT reports.

  • Knowledge of Workday security concepts including roles, domains, and security profiles.

  • Experience managing Workday content such as questionnaires, onboarding documents, and templates.

  • Understanding of Workday Community functionality and related support processes.

  • Familiarity with ITSM tools, ticket management processes, and SLA-driven support environments.

  • Experience using JIRA for sprint planning, task tracking, and issue management.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience collaborating across business and technical teams.

  • Ability to work effectively with global stakeholders and support teams across different time zones.

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Workday certification is preferred.

  • Flexibility to work in either the 11:00 AM–8:00 PM IST or 12:00 PM–9:00 PM IST shift to support global business operations.
