Job Description - Automation Tester - API

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled API Automation Tester with expertise in the airline domain to develop and maintain automated test scripts. The role involves testing APIs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the continuous improvement of testing processes. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a deep understanding of airline systems, and experience with database testing.

Must-Have Skillsets (Mandatory):

Minimum of 5+ years of IT experience, with at least 3+ years in the airline domain.
Extensive experience in API testing automation using tools like Rest Assured and Postman.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Python.
Strong analytical skills to understand complex systems and troubleshoot issues.
Experience in database testing, particularly with MongoDB and Oracle.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) for effective collaboration.

Good-to-Have Skillsets (Optional):

Knowledge of airline industry concepts such as inventory, pricing, booking, and payments.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Exposure to additional automation tools and frameworks.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven ability to design and execute test cases, analyze results, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
Demonstrated capability to stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in software testing.
