Bidding Estimator

We are looking for a Bidding Estimator to support tender costing and estimation activities. The role involves studying tender BOQs, technical specifications, drawings, and scope of work; preparing and organizing BOQs; obtaining and comparing vendor quotations; conducting market rate analysis; and supporting item-wise costing and estimation.

The position requires strong analytical and data-oriented thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work with Excel and tender costing documentation. The role is based in Kolkata and requires work from office (WFO).

There are 2 vacancies: one position for a candidate with up to 3 years of experience and one position for a fresher with 0–1 year of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Study tender BOQs, technical specifications, drawings, and scope of work.
  
• Prepare and organise BOQs in the company’s standard costing format.
  
• Identify items requiring vendor quotations or market rate analysis.
  
• Prepare and send RFQs to vendors and follow up for timely quotations.
  
• Maintain RFQ and quotation status trackers.
  
• Collect, organise, and compare vendor quotations.
  
• Prepare technical-commercial comparison statements.
  
• Support item-wise costing, estimation, and rate analysis.
  
• Collect and update current market rates.
  
• Maintain vendor, price, and historical costing databases.
  
• Assist in electrical, solar, and basic civil rate analysis.
  
• Coordinate internally for pending technical and commercial inputs.
  
• Maintain proper documentation of quotations, comparisons, and costing files.

• Market rate analysis and vendor quotation identification from the BOQ.
  
• Prepare and send RFQs to vendors and follow up for timely quotations.
  
• Maintain RFQ and quotation status trackers.
  
• Collect, organise, and compare vendor quotations.
  
• Support in costing, estimation, and rate analysis.
  
• Collect and update current market rates from the existing backend database for vendor quotations.

Education Qualification

• Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering preferred
  
• Candidates from Mechanical or Civil Engineering backgrounds with strong aptitude for estimation, Excel, and commercial work may also be considered.
  

Experience

• 1 position: Candidate with 1–3 years of experience
  
• 1 position: Fresher with 0–1 year of experience
  
• For the fresher position: Knowledge of Excel and an analytical, data-oriented mindset required.
