What will you be doing?

VDC Coordinators are responsible for supporting the VDC Leads and project team by managing day-to-day model coordination activities, maintaining coordination logs and deliverables, and helping ensure BIM/VDC workflows are followed across design partners and trade teams.

Role and Responsibilities:
•    Model Coordination Support: Assists with model aggregation, publishing, and coordination model setup; supports clash detection workflows and helps track issues to resolution.
•    Coordination Meetings: Schedules and supports coordination sessions; prepares viewpoints, captures meeting notes, and distributes action items to stakeholders.
•    Issue and Log Management: Maintains clash/issue logs, RFI/coordination trackers, and deliverable registers; follows up with trades/consultants on due dates and closures.
•    Model QA/QC Assistance: Performs basic model checks for compliance with project standards (naming, coordinates, model health, and required parameters) and escalates noncompliance to the VDC Lead/BIM Manager.
•    CDE and File Management: Helps manage folder structures, permissions (as directed), transmittals, and publishing cadence within the Common Data Environment to support controlled information exchange.
•    Drawing/Model Deliverable Support: Assists with extraction and packaging of model-based deliverables (views, sheets, coordination exports) and verifies that deliverables align with milestone requirements.
•    Field and Construction Support: Supports site teams with model navigation, constructability reviews, and coordination visuals; helps maintain current coordination models reflecting latest approved changes.

We think you should have:

•    10+ years of experience in BIM application user/admin
•    B.E. Graduate
•    Good communication skills
•    BIM/VDC Fundamentals: Understanding of BIM model coordination concepts, drawing/model deliverables, and construction sequencing basics.
•    Software Proficiency: Working knowledge of common coordination/modeling tools (e.g., Navisworks and/or Revit) and collaboration platforms/CDEs (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360 or equivalent).
•    Organization and Follow-Through: Strong ability to track issues, manage due dates, maintain logs, and keep stakeholders aligned on action items.
•    Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills for meeting support, coordination reporting, and day-to-day collaboration with trades and consultants.
•    Attention to Detail: Ability to apply project standards consistently and identify coordination risks early, escalating appropriately.
