Job Description - BP Account Manager


This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a BP Account Manager based in India.


This role focuses on driving commercial growth and strengthening strategic customer relationships within the life sciences and biopharma ecosystem.
You will be responsible for managing key accounts, developing new business opportunities, and expanding market share across an assigned territory.
The position plays a critical role in ensuring revenue growth through effective pipeline management, forecasting, and execution of sales strategies.
You will act as a trusted partner to scientific and biopharma customers, helping them access advanced solutions that support research and therapeutic development.
A strong emphasis is placed on relationship building, commercial excellence, and delivering customer-centric solutions in a highly technical environment.
You will operate in a dynamic, field-based role with significant autonomy and regular interaction with cross-functional and global teams.
Overall, this is a high-impact commercial position contributing directly to innovation in life sciences and healthcare advancement.


Accountabilities:



  • Manage and develop strategic customer relationships to drive sales growth across the assigned territory, with a focus on biopharma and life sciences accounts.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share and strengthen long-term customer partnerships.

  • Achieve regional revenue targets by executing structured sales strategies and focusing on key performance metrics including pipeline health and forecasting accuracy.

  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline using CRM tools, ensuring visibility, tracking, and accountability across all opportunities.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to support business development initiatives and deliver customer-focused solutions.

  • Maintain strong engagement with key stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term relationship development.

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic planning.

  • Travel extensively (approximately 50%) within the assigned territory to engage directly with customers and support field sales activities.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or a related field is preferred.

  • 6–8 years of experience in the life sciences, biopharma, or related scientific sales environment.

  • Proven track record in account management, business development, or technical sales roles.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, and dynamic environment.

  • Customer-first mindset with strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.

  • Experience managing sales pipelines, forecasting, and CRM tools.

  • Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional and global teams.

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned region.
