The role

The Vendor Master Data — Business Process Expert is positioned within our Global Business Services (GBS) Purchase to Pay Organization. Holder of this role will be responsible for building and driving a best in class Vendor Master Data Process.Establish global data standards and controls to ensure accurate, complete, and compliant vendor master data.Reduce onboarding lead time while strengthening risk management (banking/sanctions/tax).Enable platforms and workflows that deliver a single source of truth and support touchless Accounts Payable processing..

What you'll be responsible for

• Process & Policy: Define E2E onboarding/change/offboarding processes; required documentation; approval matrices by risk tier; periodic recertification.
• Data Governance: Manage standards for naming, classification, tax IDs, banking formats/validation; deduplication strategy; golden record management; audit trail and access controls.
• Risk & Compliance: Implement sanctions/KYC screening, bank account verification, tax validation, privacy (GDPR/PDPA) compliance, and evidence packs.
• Technology & Integration: Partner with IT on MDM/MDG platforms, supplier portals/self service, workflow, and integration with ERP/AP/Procurement.
• Quality & Metrics: Track data completeness/accuracy, duplicate rate, onboarding and data update cycle time, audit findings closure; drive continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Procurement (supplier segmentation), AP (banking/tax dependencies), Tax/Legal (indirect tax, privacy), and Security (SoD/access).

We're looking for someone who

Rather than an exhaustive check list, focus on what really matters.

• 7+ years of experience in Vendor Master/Data Management (MDM) within P2P/GBS, with strong understanding of Source-to-Pay downstream impacts
• Hands-on expertise with MDM/MDG tools and ERP vendor data models (e.g., SAP, MDGS, Ivalua, Oracle)
• Strong controls background covering sanctions/KYC, bank validation, segregation of duties (SoD), approval workflows, and audit readiness
• Proven track record in data quality management and end-to-end vendor lifecycle governance
• Skilled in data governance, standards development, and documentation, including SOPs and playbooks
• Strong analytical capabilities using Excel and Power BI; exposure to SQL and process mining tools is an advantage
• Risk-aware mindset with the ability to balance operational efficiency and control effectiveness
• Effective stakeholder management across Finance, Procurement, Tax, Legal, and Security
• Strong continuous improvement focus with experience in change management, training, and driving adoption
