About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Manager to drive business growth for our events division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, acquiring clients, developing strategic partnerships, and increasing revenue through corporate, experiential, and social events.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and industry events.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, brands, agencies, and event partners.
- Understand client requirements and propose customized event solutions aligned with their objectives and budgets.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and pitches.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms with clients.
- Collaborate with the event operations and creative teams to ensure smooth project execution and client satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the events industry.
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Attend industry conferences, exhibitions, networking events, and trade shows to expand the company's presence.
- Ensure timely follow-ups, maintain accurate sales records, and update CRM systems regularly.
- Foster long-term client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, Event Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience in business development, sales, or client servicing within the events, experiential marketing, hospitality, or advertising industry.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end event lifecycle and event production processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Strong networking and relationship management capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience working with corporate events, conferences, exhibitions, activations, weddings, or experiential marketing projects.
- Existing network of corporate clients, agencies, or industry contacts will be an added advantage.
