Data Architect- Snowflake

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to define the data model and technical architecture supporting a large-scale data governance and product data harmonization initiative.

The role will be responsible for designing how product data is structured, standardized, and harmonized across SAP, Stibo, Snowflake, and R&D specification sources. The Data Architect will also assess the downstream impact of proposed data changes and work closely with business and technology stakeholders to ensure architectural decisions are scalable, governed, and aligned with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and document the master data model and detailed data requirements across SAP, Stibo, and Snowflake.


• Design data structures representing complex product hierarchies, including finished-goods-to-component BOM relationships.


• Design data harmonization, integration, and staging architecture in Snowflake across multiple source systems.


• Define how data should flow from SAP, Stibo, R&D specifications, and other enterprise sources into analytical and downstream platforms.


• Perform detailed impact analysis for proposed data structure and identifier changes, such as GTIN standardization.


• Assess the impact of data changes on downstream applications, integrations, analytics, reporting, and business processes.


• Identify data dependencies, risks, and architectural considerations before implementation.


• Work with business, product, data governance, engineering, and IT teams to gather requirements and validate proposed data models.


• Present architecture recommendations, data models, and impact assessments to cross-functional stakeholders.


• Ensure data architecture supports scalability, consistency, traceability, governance, and data quality.


• Collaborate with data engineering teams to translate architectural designs into implementable data pipelines and structures.


• Ensure architectural decisions align with enterprise data governance and master data management principles.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or a closely related discipline.


• Strong experience designing enterprise data models and data architectures.


• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, particularly data staging, harmonization, integration, and multi-source data architectures.


• Strong understanding of data modeling and hierarchical data structures, preferably product hierarchies or BOM structures.


• Experience working with SAP data structures and enterprise ERP data.


• Working knowledge of PIM (Product Information Management) platforms; experience with Stibo is highly preferred.


• Experience integrating and harmonizing data from multiple enterprise source systems.


• Strong understanding of master data, product data, identifiers, and data standardization.


• Experience performing data impact analysis and assessing downstream dependencies resulting from data model or identifier changes.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify data dependencies and business impacts.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


• Ability to explain complex data architecture concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


• Experience working with large enterprise environments; CPG/FMCG experience is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing data models supporting AI-driven, agentic commerce, or Product Detail Page (PDP) initiatives.


• Experience with data cataloging and data quality platforms such as Atlan, DQLabs, Teal Labs, or equivalent tools.


• Understanding of how data architecture and metadata models feed data quality rules and governance frameworks.


• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives.


• Experience working with product information, product taxonomy, SKU, GTIN, BOM, or similar product data domains.


• Experience with cloud data platforms and modern data architecture patterns.
