Join us and discover why Micron\u2019s Global Procurement team is the preferred destination to unleash your talent.\n\nRole Overview\n\nThe Data Governance Analyst supports Global Procurement by enabling trusted, standardized, and AI\u2011ready procurement data that drives productivity, business value, and transformation outcomes. This role plays a hands\u2011on, execution\u2011focused part in operationalizing data governance, improving master data quality, and enabling consistent KPI and program reporting across GP.\n\nThe analyst connects day\u2011to\u2011day data governance and stewardship activities to measurable procurement outcomes, reducing manual effort, improving decision quality, and accelerating adoption of analytics, automation, and AI capabilities.\n\nThis is not an IT or Business Intelligence role. The analyst partners closely with GP business teams, Master Data, Analytics, AI, and IT functions to align with enterprise data standards, controls, and approved platforms.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nGP KPIs, Metrics \u0026 Program Reporting\n\n * Support GP KPI frameworks by ensuring metric definitions, data sources, and calculations are clearly defined, standardized, and auditable.\n\n\n\n\n * Enable consistent, trusted program and transformation reporting by improving data reliability and transparency.\n\n\n\n\n * Partner with GP program owners to align reporting needs with governed data sources and approved definitions.\n\n\n\n\nData Governance \u0026 Quality Operations\n\n * Execute day-to-day procurement data governance activities, including stewardship support, data quality monitoring, issue intake, and remediation tracking.\n\n\n\n\n * Support the procurement data stewardship operating model, including routines, escalation paths, and documentation.\n\n\n\n\n * Define and maintain governance artifacts such as business glossaries, critical data elements, and business rules for key procurement datasets.\n\n\n\n\n * Track and report data quality KPIs (e.g., completeness, accuracy, duplication, timeliness) and support root cause analysis with data and process owners.\n\n\n\n\nProcurement Master Data Management\n\n * Perform hands-on procurement master data cleanup and standardization activities (supplier, category, material, contract, and reference data).\n\n\n\n\n * Coordinate with Master Data and process owners to resolve data quality issues at the source and prevent recurrence.\n\n\n\n\n * Support continuous improvement of master data processes and controls.\n\n\n\n\nAI Ready Procurement Data Enablement\n\n * Contribute to procurement master data strategy required to enable AI, automation, and advanced analytics use cases.\n\n\n\n\n * Partner with analytics and AI teams to translate use case requirements into actionable data governance and data quality improvements.\n\n\n\n\n * Ensure procurement data is structured, labeled, and governed to be AI ready, with clear ownership, definitions, and quality thresholds.\n\n\n\n\nCross Functional Collaboration\n\n * Act as a liaison between GP business teams, Analytics, AI, Master Data, and IT for data related topics.\n\n\n\n\n * Support alignment between procurement specific needs and enterprise data governance standards.\n\n\n\n\nQualifications\n\nEducation\n\n * Bachelor\u0027s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field required.\n\n\n\n\n * Advanced degree or certification in data management, analytics, or governance is a plus.\n\n\n\n\n * Practical experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake) is required.\n\n\n\n\nExperience\n\n * 3\u20134 years of experience in data governance, data quality, analytics, or reporting roles.\n\n\n\n\n * Hands\u2011on experience with master data management and data quality operations, preferably in Procurement or Supply Chain domains.\n\n\n\n\n * Basic knowledge of any Business Intelligence tools for Reporting such as Tableau/ Power BI is a plus\n\n\n\n\n * Experience supporting KPI frameworks, metrics definition, and program reporting.\n\n\n\n\n * Exposure to AI, advanced analytics, or data readiness initiatives is strongly preferred.\n\n\n\n\nSkills \u0026 Attributes\n\n * Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and data accuracy.\n\n\n\n\n * Working knowledge of data governance concepts including stewardship, ownership, critical data elements, and quality metrics.\n\n\n\n\n * Ability to translate business questions into clear data definitions and measurable metrics.\n\n\n\n\n * Comfortable working cross\u2011functionally and influencing without direct authority.\n\n\n\n\n * Clear communicator with the ability to document standards, definitions, and processes.\n\n\n\n\n * Understanding how data quality and standardization enable automation, analytics, and AI outcomes.\n\n\n\n\nWhat Success Looks Like\n\n * Trusted and reliable procurement data and KPIs used for decision\u2011making and program reviews.\n\n\n\n\n * Data quality issues are visible, prioritized, and systematically reduced over time.\n\n\n\n\n * Procurement master data is standardized and governed, reducing manual effort and reporting friction.\n\n\n\n\n * Data governance and master data improvements demonstrably increase GP productivity and accelerate AI and automation adoption.\n\n\n\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nBusiness Intelligence Analyst 3\n\nRelocation level: (TBD)\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
