About the Role At the core of our platform is the matchmaking engine. The Data Scientist II will play a pivotal role in refining our recommendation algorithms, improving user personalization, and building predictive models to enhance the overall customer experience. You will work on vast datasets containing millions of user profiles, interactions, and behavioral signals to solve complex problems in compatibility, fraud detection, and user retention.

Key Responsibilities

  Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models for the core recommendation engine (collaborative filtering, content-based filtering, and hybrid models).

  
  


• 
  

  Build NLP models to analyze user preferences, chat sentiment, and profile descriptions to improve match accuracy.

  
  


• 
  

  Develop anomaly detection systems to identify and mitigate spam, fraud, and fake profiles in real-time.

  
  


• 
  

  Design and execute rigorous A/B tests to evaluate model performance and its impact on core business metrics (e.g., successful matches, subscription rates).

  
  


• 
  

  Partner with Data Engineers to operationalize and scale machine learning models in a production environment.

  
  

Required Tech Stack & Qualifications

• 
  

  Languages: Expert proficiency in Python and SQL.

  
  


• 
  

  ML Libraries: Deep experience with Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Pandas, and NumPy.

  
  


• 
  

  Algorithms: Strong grasp of statistical modeling, classification, regression, clustering, and deep learning techniques.

  
  


• 
  

  Big Data & Cloud: Experience working with distributed computing tools (Apache Spark) and cloud-based ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, Databricks).

  
  


• 
  

  Background: Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field is highly preferred.
