Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

•      Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for light fixtures based on inputs from the CTO, Engineering Managers, the Design Manager, the Product & Costing Manager or the production manager.

•      Ensure all drawings meet design specifications and manufacturing requirements.

•      Check designs for ease of fabrication, assembly and cost-effective production, and flag issues to the Engineering team.

•      Update and revise drawings based on engineering changes, customer feedback and manufacturing requirements.

•      Assist in prototype fabrication and testing.

•      Maintain drawing records, technical specifications and revision history, so production always works from the latest version.

Skills & Requirements:

•      Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).

•      Understanding of fabrication, machining, and assembly processes.

•      Ability to follow engineering instructions and modify designs accordingly.

Educational Qualification:

•      Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.

•      1.5 – 3 years’ Experience in drafting or mechanical design within the lighting or manufacturing industry.
