Design Estimation Proposals Engineers - Electrical Control Panels

• The Proposal Engineer shall be responsible for Designing, Estimating, and pre-sales proposals. Preparing and managing the most competitive Technical and Commercial Proposals for all types of Electrical Control Panels and junction boxes in compliance with the client requirements / technical specifications and ensuring the bidding process moves forward through initiation to close of a business deal.


• Proposal Engineer shall ensure accurate estimates of the total cost of allocated projects are completed on time, and under required company procedures & standards.


• The Proposal Engineer shall aggressively follow up with stakeholders/subcontractors/vendors to facilitate the proposal bidding process by ensuring contributions from each member by proactive engaging them


• Develop a clear and concise understanding of the customer's business needs and objectives


• Ability to interpret engineering documentation such as drawings, specifications, scope of works, etc.


• Write proposals in response to customer RFPs/RFIs that are compliant with all requirements, including page limits and formatting guidelines


• Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, product management, marketing, and sales, to gather input and feedback on proposals


• Incorporate feedback from various stakeholders into final drafts of proposals


• Manage the proposal development process from start to finish, including coordinating reviews, revisions, and approvals


• Ensure all deadlines are met and deliverables are of the highest quality


• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, services, and capabilities


• Stay abreast of industry trends and developments to ensure proposals are competitive


• Conduct post-mortem analyses of won and lost bids to identify areas of improvement


• Maintain accurate records of all proposals submitted, both won and lost

Qualifications & experience :

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, having 3-7+ years of experience in proposal engineering or a similar role


• Experience with the full proposal lifecycle, from RFP receipt to customer debrief


• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills


• Strong attention to detail


• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint and Excel


• Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro
