Job Description - Digitalization Manager-Navi Mumbai

Role: Digitalization Manager
Location: Navi Mumbai
CTC: Up to 12 LPA
Function: Electrical, Solar & Digital Operations


Minimum Experience: 7 years (5+ years in control room operations)
Mobility: Willing to travel across sites


Role Purpose


Drive the Electrical, Solar and Digital operations of all connected factory locations in Maharashtra and Goa — ensuring reliable energy management, remote monitoring, predictive maintenance and continuous operational improvement across sites.


Key Responsibilities


Energy & Utility Operations



  • Drive Electrical, Solar and digital operations across all connected factory locations in Maharashtra and Goa.

  • Manage energy operations for all connected locations.

  • Carry out remote operation and monitoring in coordination with the respective location team.

  • Ensure operational efficiency based on OEM recommendations and local market conditions.

  • Provide technical expertise to respective Location In-Charges on utility operations and maintenance strategy.


Data, Monitoring & Analysis



  • Ensure reliability of electrical, solar and water consumption data flowing online to the central AVATAR system.

  • Deliver timely reports on data quality, highlighting error-prone areas, and coordinate for rectification.

  • Carry out real-time monitoring and control of electrical, water and solar systems in coordination with the local operations team.

  • Analyze data and recommend measures to improve operational efficiency and predictive maintenance.

  • Benchmark systems against historical data and comparable sites, and identify saving measures.

  • Recommend periodic application upgrades based on real-time data management and analysis.

  • Undertake MIS reporting for Electrical, Water and Solar systems across all locations.


Maintenance & Reliability



  • Carry out predictive maintenance of utilities.

  • Ensure implementation and follow-up of the preventive and predictive maintenance plan.

  • Ensure the health of all connected sites; raise alarms on any abnormality and get problem areas resolved in coordination with the local operations team.

  • Ensure adequate measures are taken for continuity of operations.

  • Identify operational savings and surface new business opportunities.


Incident, Issue & Stakeholder Management



  • Handle incidents and crises effectively.

  • Prepare and file incident reports for all system-related incidents as per the agreed format.

  • Maintain records of technical, administrative and equipment service issues, and ensure resolution within the defined Turnaround Time (TAT).

  • Coordinate with respective stakeholders and IFM to resolve system-related issues and ensure closure.

  • Report savings opportunities in the Puma saving tool and ensure DI5 compliance.

  • Set up SOPs and ensure effective implementation across locations.

  • Provide periodic reporting to respective stakeholders.

  • Undertake any other responsibilities necessary within AVATAR.


Required Qualifications



  • BE / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized institution.

  • Minimum 7 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years in managing complex control room operations of a sizeable establishment.

  • Proven experience in electrical, solar, and digital operations, including remote monitoring and predictive maintenance.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) and experience with data analysis tools.

  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Certification in Data Analytics or related fields (e.g., Power Systems Analytics, Industrial IoT).

  • Exposure to digitalization initiatives, smart grid technologies, or energy management systems.

  • Experience working with centralized monitoring platforms (e.g., AVATAR or similar SCADA/EMS systems).

  • Familiarity with energy benchmarking, MIS reporting, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
