About MMR Consulting

MMR Consulting is a life sciences engineering and CQV consultancy. We work with pharmaceutical, biotechnology and CDMO clients across North America, Europe and Asia on capital projects, from design and engineering through commissioning, qualification and validation.

Our teams support facility builds, process equipment, clean utilities, automation and regulatory readiness for clients operating under USFDA, EMA and other major agencies. Our India operation delivers into these global programs and is now positioned to grow, both as a delivery capability and as a business in its own right.

The role

MMR CONSULTING is looking for a leader to run the MMR India business, where the major responsibilities include P&L ownership, business development, technical delivery of services, and growing the team. The team will support local India projects, in addition to off-shore projects globally.

Job Description

Business and P&L

• 
  Full P&L accountability for MMR India, covering revenue, margin, utilization and cost


• 
  The annual operating plan and budget, and delivery against it


• 
  Pricing and commercial structuring on engagements originating in India


• 
  Statutory, tax and compliance obligations for the entity, working with our finance team and local advisors

Business development

• 
  Build and convert a pipeline with pharmaceutical, biotechnology and CDMO clients in India


• 
  Write and own CQV proposals end to end: scope, technical approach, staffing plan and price


• 
  Represent MMR at industry forums, ISPE chapters and on client sites


• 
  Grow existing accounts, and work with global leadership on opportunities that span regions

Technical and CQV oversight

• 
  Act as the senior technical authority for CQV work produced in India


• 
  Review and approve validation strategy, protocols and reports before they reach the client


• 
  Hold the quality bar on GMP, data integrity and regulatory expectation


• 
  Embed our methodology into new hires and raise the technical capability of the team

People and capability

• 
  Hire, develop and retain CQV engineers and project staff


• 
  Build the training path that takes a graduate engineer to a client-facing consultant


• 
  Set objectives, run performance reviews and plan succession for key roles


• 
  Build a culture that good engineers want to stay in

What you bring

• 
  E. or B.Tech in Chemical, Mechanical, Biotechnology, Instrumentation or a related engineering discipline


• 
  12-15+ years in pharmaceutical or biotechnology engineering, with substantial depth in commissioning, qualification and validation


• 
  5+ years leading teams, with direct responsibility for hiring and performance


• 
  Demonstrable command of C&Q across process equipment, clean utilities, facilities and automation


• 
  Working knowledge of some of these guidelines; GMP, GAMP 5, ASTM E2500, ISPE C&Q baseline guide, 21 CFR Part 11 and current data integrity expectations


• 
  Experience delivering into, or being inspected by, USFDA, EMA or an equivalent agency


• 
  Ability to attend occasional meetings with meaningful overlap into North American business hours

Preferred

• 
  Consulting background. Candidates from a CQV or life sciences engineering consultancy will be prioritized


• 
  An established network among pharmaceutical, and biotechnology manufacturers in India


• 
  A track record of writing and winning CQV proposals
