Role Summary:

Our company is looking for a detail-oriented individual with an excellent grasp of the English language and storytelling skills to assist students with guidance, ideation, feedback and editing for their essays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct Essay Writing Workshops and Feedback sessions with students currently in high school.
  


• Providing written feedback, proofreading and editing for essays
  


• Writing material and blogs on college application processes and essay writing
  

Requirements

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree required. Excellent editing, writing and communication skills in English. Familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Preferred: prior work experience in creative writing, academic writing, or editing.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be expected to submit a sample of their writing in addition to their updated résumé. Interviews and assessments are conducted in two rounds:

1. A short editing and English skills test will be assigned to candidates that they should complete within 2 working days.

2. All shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by the Regional Head and a Senior Editor.

Remuneration (approx. CTC):

Based on prior experience. Competitive with industry average.

For Reference: The average CTC for Junior Editors is 45,000; for Senior Editors and Writing Coaches, average CTC is 1,00,000 per month.
