Your role involves designing and analyzing equipment, conducting experimental tests, evaluating results to create reliable cutting-edge solutions.\n\nIn this role, you will directly contribute to ___.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do\n\n * Design and develop complex electrical systems, sub-systems, and/or solutions, applying engineering methods to design.\n * Contributes to research and development efforts by collecting and analyzing data to improve electrical system designs.\n * Develops functional specifications for electrical/ electro-mechanical systems and power distribution components.\n * Collaborate with cross-functional engineering design teams to design and modify custom and OEM system components.\n * Perform hands-on test and validation utilizing lab equipment to characterization of the performance of the electrical/ electro-mechanical systems.\n * Prepare high-quality reports and technical presentations to clearly communicate design intent, analysis, and results to diverse audiences in design reviews.\n * Acts as a resource and mentor for more junior colleagues.\n\n\n\n## Who we\u2019re looking for\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master\u2019s degree with 3+ years; or equivalent work experience.\n * Hands-on experience in electronic circuit design (analog, digital), signal and controls theory, development and associated electrical board design, troubleshooting and validation.\n * Solid understanding of AC/DC Power distribution systems.\n * In depth system level understanding of Electrical architecture, system integration, and applications.\n * Excellent working knowledge in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and low voltage circuit design for power and control applications.\n * Expertise in application of power and controls technologies for systems automation.\n * Knowledgeable in CAD tools for circuit design and simulation (e.g., PCAD, ORCAD, ZUKEN, AutoCAD, Spice, ADS, HFSS).\n\n\n\n## Preferred qualifications\n\n * Ability to define functional requirements and execute in a dynamic team environment.\n * Familiar with design for serviceability, manufacturability, reliability.\n * Highly proficient at troubleshooting systems with tools like network sniffers, protocol analyzers, and tool logs.\n * Experience in troubleshooting with problem-solving techniques such as 5-why, 8D, fishbones, etc.\n * Excellent oral and written communication skills including technical presentations.\n * Experience in semiconductor industry or related (industrial, automotive, military).\n\n\n\n## Our commitment\n\n \n\nWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories \u2013 On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. \u2018On-site Flex\u2019 you\u2019ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. \u2018Virtual Flex\u2019 you\u2019ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.\n
