Own performance strategy, guide a team of performance engineers, and drive end-to-end analysis across silicon, firmware, kernel, and workloads.\n\n## Key Responsibilities\n\n### Leadership \u0026 Strategy\n\n * Lead and mentor a team of performance engineers.\n\n * Define performance KPIs, benchmarking strategy, and roadmap.\n\n * Drive alignment across architecture, silicon, firmware, kernel, compiler, and workload teams.\n\n\n\n\n### Benchmarking \u0026 Characterization\n\n * Lead SPEC CPU, SPECjbb, SPECrate, cloud workload analysis.\n\n * Characterize CPU, memory, I/O, NUMA, ARMv9 features.\n\n\n\n\n### Regression \u0026 Monitoring\n\n * Own regression detection and CI/CD automation.\n\n * Track KPIs across firmware, software, and hardware.\n\n\n\n\n### Root Cause \u0026 Optimization\n\n * Lead investigations using PMU counters, perf, VTune, Streamline.\n\n * Guide kernel, BIOS/UEFI, compiler, SVE/SVE2 optimizations.\n\n\n\n\n### Customer \u0026 Partner Engagement\n\n * Validate workloads for hyperscalers, Kubernetes, enterprise.\n\n * Support OEM/ODM benchmarking and field issues.\n\n\n\n\n## Minimum Qualifications\n\n * 12+ years in CPU performance engineering/system software.\n\n * Strong Python, Bash, C/C++.\n\n * Deep microarchitecture, memory, NUMA, PCIe/CXL understanding.\n\n * ARMv9/SVE/SVE2, virtualization, firmware experience.\n\n * Hands-on with SPEC suites, cloud-native benchmarks.\n\n * Leadership experience.\n\n\n\n\n## Ideal Attributes\n\n * Analytical, data-driven, strong debugging.\n\n * Effective cross-functional collaboration.\n\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. \nOR \nMaster\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 7+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. \nOR \nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. \n \n\u2022 4+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. \n\u2022 4+ years of experience with debugging techniques.\n\nApplicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
