Engineer, Staff - Linux Stability

## \nCompany:\n\nQualcomm India Private Limited\n\n## Job Area:\n\nEngineering Group, Engineering Group \u003e Software Engineering\n\nGeneral Summary:\n\nThe engineer will contribute to the CSE stability team in\n\nDebugging Linux Kernel and System level issues on Qualcomm chipsets. \nCollaborate with multiple cross-functional technology teams and execution teams. \nEnsure the Stability Quality of the product as per stipulated MTBF metrics to meet product milestones.\n\n \nThe position requires:\n\nExcellent debug skills, especially in the core kernel software stability domain \nExcellent knowledge of Linux kernel and device driver\u2019s model. \nSound C/C++ programming skills. \nSolid knowledge of ARM v7 and v8 architecture, exception levels, multi-core ARM/CPUs, etc \nExpert level knowledge of OS internals. \nPrior experience with system debug etc is a plus \nKnowledge of debug tools such as JTAG, ETM is a plus \nExposure or prior hands-on Python is a plus. \nExcellent communication and soft skills \nMaster or bachelor\u2019s degree in ECE, EE or CS. \n\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nMaster\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. \n \n\u2022 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.\n\nApplicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
