Location: Hyderabad

Mode: Hybrid (Mandatory 3 days in office – 2 days WFH)
Reports To: Product Lead – Customer Care & Logistics

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Esker OCR Lead to lead the design, delivery, and global rollout of Esker OCR and O2C automation within a regulated pharma environment. The role will own platform governance, compliance and audit readiness, SAP integrations, global template rollouts, and delivery management while ensuring GxP, SOX, and data integrity requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

1. Platform Ownership & Roadmap

• Lead the global Esker OCR rollout for Opella.


• Own design authority for templates, workflows, and exception management.


• Manage backlog prioritization, releases, environments, and cutovers.


• Drive project management processes and approvals.

2. Compliance, CSV & Audit Readiness

• Lead the CSV lifecycle, including URS/FRS, IQ/OQ/PQ, deviations, and change control.


• Ensure compliance with GxP, SOX, data integrity, and audit-trail requirements.


• Support audits and maintain the validated state of the platform.

3. Solution Architecture & Integration

• Own OCR template design, workflow logic, and exception queues.


• Oversee integrations with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, SAP SD/MM, MDM, and security platforms.

4. Delivery & Vendor Management

• Lead global, multi-country Esker rollouts across pharma entities.


• Manage SOWs, SLAs, vendors, QA gates, UAT, and cutover activities.


• Coordinate internal and partner teams to ensure successful delivery.

5. Operations & Continuous Improvement

• Lead L2/L3 support, hypercare, problem management, RCA, and incident governance.


• Drive improvements in Straight Through Processing (STP), OCR recognition accuracy, and O2C cycle times.

6. People & Stakeholder Management

• Lead functional teams and partner ecosystems.


• Collaborate with business, IT, QA, compliance, and external stakeholders.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• 8–10+ years of overall Project Management / IT Delivery experience.


• 5+ years of hands-on Esker OCR / Esker Order Management (EOD) experience.


• Strong pharma industry experience.


• Hands-on understanding of CSV, GxP, SOX, data integrity, validation, and traceability.


• Experience with SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA, SAP SD/MM integrations.


• Proven experience managing global/multi-country rollouts.


• Strong experience in vendor management, UAT, cutover, hypercare, and compliance delivery.


• Experience managing hybrid internal + partner teams.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Sanofi / Opella project management and testing processes.


• Experience with Confluence, JIRA, and Xray.


• Esker certification.
