ETL Test Engineer

Basic understanding of: 

• Excel and visualization tool & working experience in PowerBI or Tableau or Similar.
• Batch and Real time data processing
• Agile Process (Scrum cadences, Roles, deliverables) & working experience in either Azure DevOps, JIRA or Similar

Strong In/should have: 

• Understanding the testing effort by analyzing the requirements of project. 
• Estimating and obtaining management support for the time, resources and budget required to perform the testing. 
• Organizing the testing kick-off meeting 
• Defining the Test Strategy 
• Building a testing team of professionals with appropriate skills, attitudes and motivation. 
• Identifying Training requirements and forward it to the Project Manager (Technical and Soft skills).
• Developed the test plan for the tasks, dependencies and participants required to mitigate the risks to system quality and obtain stakeholder support for this plan.
• Should have done testing for Reporting, specially PBI 
• Making sure all KPIs are testing with requirements and vs. databricks/database 
• Arranging the Hardware and software requirement for the Test Setup. 
• Assigning task to all Testing Team members and ensure that all of them have sufficient work in the project. 
• End to End data warehousing systems from Data modelling to Reporting 
• Hands-on experience with Database and reporting testing 
• Hands-on experience on at least one of the Scripting/Programming languages like Unit or Python 
• Writing complex SQL queries & working experience in Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift or Similar 
• Automation testing using Java, Python etc. 
• Understanding and writing functional specifications/technical specifications/Business rules/Data rules. 
• Responsible for turning gathered requirements into test cases and scripts in both ETL & Reporting areas. 
• Author test strategy, test plans, test cases, and/or test scripts required to validate requirements.
• Understanding and working experience in AWS Services (S3, Lambda, Athena, EMR etc)
• Ensuring content and structure of all Testing documents / artifacts is documented and maintained.
• Documenting, implementing, monitoring, and enforce all processes for testing as per standards defined by the organization.
• Reviewing the Test Cases documents.
• Keeping track of the new requirements / change in requirements of the Project.
• Escalating the issues about project requirements (Software, Hardware, Resources) to Project Manager / Sr. Test Manager. 
• Organizing the status meetings and send the Status Report (Daily, Weekly etc.) to the Client
• Attend the regular client call and discuss the weekly status with the client.
• Strong Communication with the Client. • Act as the single point of contact between Development and Testers.
• Tracking and preparing the report of testing activities like test testing results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered and their status, performance baselines etc.
• Reviewed various reports prepared by Test engineers. 
• Ensuring the timely delivery of different testing milestones.
• Preparing / updating the metrics dashboard at the end of a phase or at the completion of project.

Graduate in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
