ETL Test Lead

Required Technical Skills

Must Have

• 8–12 years of hands-on experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.


• Strong experience in Data Warehouse and ETL Testing.


• Good exposure to Business Intelligence (BI) applications and reporting validation.


• Strong SQL skills with ability to write complex queries involving joins, subqueries, aggregations, and validations.


• Experience in Source-to-Target Mapping (STM) validation.


• Knowledge of ETL concepts and testing methodologies.


• Good understanding of data validation, reconciliation, and data quality checks.


• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux commands.


• Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Teradata.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to ETL tools such as Informatica, DataStage, Talend, SSIS, Ab Initio, Azure Data Factory, or similar platforms.


• Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.


• Experience with Big Data technologies is an added advantage.

Project & Process Skills

Agile & DevOps

• Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies.


• Good knowledge of DevOps processes and continuous testing practices.


• Experience participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release activities.

Test Management Tools

Hands-on experience with:

• Jira


• Confluence (preferred)

Requirement Analysis

• Strong experience in requirement analysis and ambiguity identification.


• Ability to review business requirements and provide early feedback for quality improvements.


• Experience preparing test estimations and risk assessments.

Test Data Management

• Strong experience in identifying, creating, and maintaining test data.


• Ability to prepare mock data sets as required for testing scenarios.


• Experience handling large volumes of data for validation activities.

Stakeholder Management

• Excellent customer-facing and stakeholder communication skills.


• Experience collaborating with business users and cross-functional teams.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
