Position Summary:


 


The Executive– Procurement ensures timely procurement of aggregates, components and services as per production schedule and manages inventory as per targets.


 


The job holder will follow up with suppliers in a timely manner such that production never gets held up for want of supplies. He is also responsible for locating, analyzing, and developing a consolidated supplier database to meet current and future needs.


 


He is also responsible for creating and maintaining mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with suppliers to foster feedback and continuous improvement.


 


He is also responsible for data entry done online in terms of updating of database etc.


 


Key Responsibilities:


 


 



  1. Procurement


 



  1. Ensure that material is procured as per Project Schedule and material arrange in house to feed the Production on time

  2. Ensure smooth flow of material progress, at suppliers’ end and ensure suppliers’ payments released on time.

  3. Gives appropriate vendor feedback to the team members.

  4. Ensures that vendor rejects are either reworked upon or returned to vendor and invoice etc. suitably reversed.

  5. Create and maintain mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with suppliers to foster feedback and continuous improvement.

  6. Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the procurement process

  7. To manage the performance of the subordinates through monitoring & developmental activities so as to ensure that the functional & organizational goals are met

  8. To continuously coach and mentor people and build a collaborative culture in the team

  9. Conducting Annual Vendor Evaluations

  10. Adhering to implemented Systems & Procedures and adhering to Quality Management System.


 


 


 


 


 


 


 



  1. Logistics


 



  1. Invite quotes from potential freight forwarders.

  2. Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising under the supervision of Material – Manager with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers and transportation companies

  3. Review impact of logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or carriers and report to Materials Manager & Project Manager.

  4. Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities.

  5. To do Logistics planning and give timely schedules to CHA.

  6. To maintain logistics schedule chart.

  7. Responsible for accuracy of Marks & Numbers, labelling to ensure correct parts/finished assemblies reach customers correctly & easy to identify on receipt.

An Executive who has good understanding of all the processes involved in a supply chain and procedures of a large scale centralized purchasing function and should also have understanding of accounting practices as applied to procurement procedures. Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects


 


 































 



Must have



Qualifications:



Bcom/Diploma/B.E/B.Tech,



Experience:



Should have min 6 to 7 yrs exp in purchase, and material management in manufacturing companies, preferably in the heavy engineering or crane manufacturing companies.
