FBS Agile Dev Team Member II - QA Guidewire

Job Summary

This position collaborates with product owners, business analysists, developers, solution engineers, and Agile teams to validate Guidewire solutions supporting Business Insurance transformation initiatives. The role performs functional, integration, API, regression, and automation testing activities to ensure Guidewire applications meet business requirements, quality standards, and release objectives. The position contributes to test planning, test execution, defect management, and quality improvements while delivering sprint commitments within an Agile environment.

Essential Job Functions

Creates, maintains, and executes test cases, test scenarios, and test data for Guidewire solutions and integrations.

Validates functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end business processes across Guidewire applications.

Identifies, documents, retests, and tracks defects through resolution.

Reviews user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure testability and quality coverage.

Participates in sprint testing activities and supports release validation efforts.

Performs API and interface testing using approved testing tools.

Collaborates with developers and business analysts to troubleshoot issues and validate fixes.

Contributes to automated regression test development and maintenance.

Supports environment validation, test data preparation, and deployment verification activities.

Special Skill Requirements

Minimum 5 years of QA experience in Agile software delivery environments.

Minimum 2 years of Guidewire testing experience, mainly Guidewire PolicyCenter.

Experience testing Guidewire applications, mainly Guidewire PolicyCenter.

Knowledge of Property and Casualty or Business Insurance processes.

Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (Rally)

Experience with API testing and integration validation.

Experience with test planning, test execution, defect lifecycle management, and SDLC methodologies.

Experience with policy premium validation, policy forms validation

Agile Delivery and Collaboration

Participates in PI Planning, Sprint Planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, system demos, retrospectives, and Inspect and Adapt activities.

Partners with Product Owners and developers to ensure acceptance criteria are testable and complete.

Commits to sprint goals and proactively communicates risks, blockers, and testing status.

Supports continuous testing and continuous delivery practices.

Contributes to team quality improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

Ability to collaborate effectively with agile team members and product owners

Education and Certification Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, or related field preferred.

Guidewire certification or any testing certification required.
