Job Title:            Finance Transformation Specialist

Reports to:         Finance Transformation Manager

Location:            Pune

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and technology-driven Finance Transformation Specialist to support the digitization, automation, and continuous improvement of finance processes across the organization.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in Finance and Accounting combined with hands-on experience in data analytics, automation, reporting tools, and emerging technologies. This role will focus on transforming traditional finance operations through automation, data-driven insights, process optimization, and digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Transformation & Automation

• Identify opportunities to automate and optimize finance processes across Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and FP&A functions.


• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to improve efficiency, quality, and control.


• Drive finance transformation initiatives leveraging digital technologies and automation tools.


• Collaborate with finance stakeholders to understand business challenges and recommend technology-enabled solutions.

Data Analytics & Business Intelligence

• Develop dashboards, management reports, and analytical solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.


• Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets to generate actionable business insights.


• Build data models and automate reporting processes for finance teams.


• Support decision-making through advanced data analysis and visualization.

Technology & Digital Solutions

• Utilize SQL, Python, MS Access, and other data technologies for process automation and reporting.


• Explore and implement AI/ML-driven use cases within finance functions.


• Support development of finance data repositories and big data initiatives.


• Work closely with IT, business, and finance teams to implement scalable digital solutions.

Process Excellence

• Analyze existing finance workflows and identify process improvement opportunities.


• Standardize and simplify finance operations through technology interventions.


• Ensure appropriate controls, governance, and compliance are embedded within automated processes.


• Support digital transformation projects from requirement gathering through deployment.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with finance leadership and business stakeholders to understand operational requirements.


• Present analytical findings and automation opportunities to management teams.


• Provide user training and change management support during implementation of digital solutions.

Required Skills & Competencies

Finance Domain Knowledge

• Strong understanding of Finance & Accounting processes.


• Exposure to R2R, P2P, O2C, Financial Reporting, Controllership, Shared Services, or Finance Operations.


• Understanding of financial data structures, reconciliations, reporting, and controls.

Technical Skills

Must Have:

• SQL


• Power BI and/or Tableau


• Python


• Advanced MS Excel


• Data Analysis & Reporting Automation

Preferred:

• RPA/Automation tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate, Blue Prism, etc.)


• AI/GenAI applications in Finance


• MS Access


• Power Query


• Big Data technologies


• SAP or other ERP systems

Qualification

• Any Graduate (Finance, Commerce, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Applications preferred)


• Additional certifications in Data Analytics, Automation, AI, BI Tools, or Finance Transformation will be an advantage.

Experience

• 3–8 years of experience in Finance Transformation, Finance Automation, Finance Excellence, Shared Services Transformation, or Finance Analytics roles.


• Experience working at the intersection of Finance and Technology.


• Hands-on experience delivering automation, reporting, analytics, or process improvement initiatives within finance functions.
