Job Description - Financial Due Diligence - Assistant Manager

Position: FDD - Assistant Manager 

Role overview:
As an Assistant Manager, you will be working on Financial Due Diligence engagement and depending on your performance you will be provided opportunity to work on monitoring trustee engagements where the company has established leadership in advising Competition Commission of India on high profile and complex Merger & Acquisition transactions in India.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Working in our multi -disciplined teams, you will apply your talents to a wide variety of complex, demanding and high profile transactions from acquisitions and mergers to flotation's and buy -outs.
  • Developing an understanding of the target business and its drivers
  • Assess data accuracy and reasonableness and follow -up directly with clients and third -parties appropriately to achieve necessary understanding and to resolve anomalies
  • Work in a team interpreting data and analysing results along with transforming source data into a workable format, and visualizing data insights, using tools like Excel and Power BI;
  • Proactively work with team leaders and team members to manage a workload of multiple projects with competing priorities based on relative importance and urgency;
  • Identification of key issues and carrying out the relevant financial analysis.
  • Preparing issues -focussed sections of the due diligence reports.
  • Establishing credibility with lower/ middle level personnel at clients/targets as a representative.
  • Assume near independent responsibility for smaller clients
  • Help project / team leader to ensure that risk documentation are completed for all jobs on a timely basis as per the applicable T&R technical/risk management policies.

Requirements:
  • CA with minimum 3 years of FDD experience.
  • Strong analytical skills complemented by strong business acumen.
  • Up to date local business and economic knowledge.
  • Strong accounting knowledge.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office applications (including Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
  • Highly adaptable, able to work independently and effectively under pressure in a fast -paced environment.
  • Keen to work in an international environment with teams across geographies to meet client requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical knowledge.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English; any added language proficiency is a plus to liaise with international clients or targets.
