About the Opportunity
A prominent healthcare provider in India’s private hospital sector, we deliver advanced surgical care across urban and semi-urban centers, with a strong focus on patient safety, clinical excellence, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Our surgical teams operate under evidence-based protocols, supported by modern OT infrastructure, digital health tools, and robust post-op recovery pathways — ensuring outcomes that meet global standards while serving diverse patient populations.

Role & Responsibilities

• Perform a full scope of general surgical procedures including hernia repair, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, thyroidectomy, and emergency trauma surgeries.


• Lead pre-op evaluations, surgical consent discussions, and post-op care planning in coordination with anesthesia, ICU, and nursing teams.


• Manage inpatient surgical wards, attend emergency surgical consults, and provide 24/7 on-call coverage as per hospital rotation.


• Document surgical outcomes, maintain audit-ready case logs, and participate in hospital-wide quality & safety review committees.


• Mentor junior surgeons and residents during operations and clinical rounds, ensuring adherence to best-practice guidelines.


• Collaborate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, and radiologists for complex case management and multidisciplinary tumor boards.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• MBBS with MS (General Surgery) from MCI/NMC-recognized institution


• Valid NMC registration with active license to practice in India


• Minimum 3+ years post-residency surgical experience in tertiary/hospital settings


• Proficiency in laparoscopic and open general surgical techniques


• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certified


• Experience in managing surgical emergencies and post-op complications

Preferred

• Fellowship in GI Surgery, Surgical Oncology, or Trauma Surgery


• Experience with robotic-assisted surgery platforms


• Publications or participation in surgical quality improvement initiatives
