Job Description - Google AppSheet Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Google AppSheet Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications using

Google AppSheet’ s Low -Code/No -Code platform. You will work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements

into scalable, secure, and user -friendly applications. The role involves creating automated workflows, integrating AppSheet with

Google Workspace and third -party systems, and ensuring compliance with organizational governance standards. Strong

communication and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in an Agile environment are essential. The role

requires hands -on expertise in AppSheet, PostgreSQL, Power Automate, webhook automation, and Azure DevOps. Exposure to

Agentic AI principles for intelligent, autonomous workflows is a strong differentiator

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

AppSheet Application Development

â Design, develop, and deploy end -to -end applications on Google AppSheet, including data modelling, UX/UI design,

views, slices, and workflow automation.

â Slicers and Filters for advanced data segmentation, enabling role -specific and context -aware views for end users.

â AppSheet Bots and automated actions for process automation, notifications, scheduled tasks, and conditional logic.

â AppSheet APIs and custom integrations with third -party systems.

â security filters and role -based access controls (RBAC) to enforce governance and data privacy standards.

â Optimise app performance for large datasets and high -concurrency usage.

Webhook & Integration Development

â Webhook -based integrations to trigger real -time events between AppSheet and external platforms (e.g., REST APIs, ITSM

tools, notification services).

â Power Automate (Microsoft) to build cross -platform automated workflows bridging Google Workspace and Microsoft

365 ecosystems.

â Connect AppSheet with Google Workspace components including Google Sheets, Google Drive, OneDrive, PostgreSQL

SQL, SharePoint and Docusign.

â REST APIs for bidirectional data exchange with enterprise systems.

Database Integration & Management

â PostgreSQL and SQL Server as backend data sources.

â SQL queries for data retrieval, transformation, and performance tuning within AppSheet -connected databases.

â Handle database schema design aligned with AppSheet data model requirements.

â Troubleshoot data sync, connectivity, and latency issues between AppSheet and relational databases.

Agentic AI & Intelligent Automation

â Agentic AI concepts to design autonomous, decision -driven workflows within AppSheet and integrated platforms.

â Explore and implement AI -assisted features within AppSheet (e.g., intelligent form suggestions, predictive data inputs,

automated task routing).

â Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI -driven process optimisation within managed service

workflows.

DevOps, Release & Change Management

â Azure DevOps for sprint planning, backlog management, work item tracking, and release coordination of AppSheet

applications.

â Change Management, Problem Management, and Critical Incident Management processes (ITIL -aligned).

â Maintain application versioning, deployment records, and configuration documentation in Azure DevOps repositories.

â Participate in Agile ceremonies and deliver iteratively within sprint cycles.

Troubleshooting, Bug Fixing & Support

â Independently investigate, diagnose, and resolve application bugs, data issues, and performance degradation in live

AppSheet environments.

â Manage incident resolution end -to -end with minimal escalation, adhering to SLA commitments.

â Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and implement permanent fixes.

â Support end users by debugging expression errors, broken workflows, data sync failures, and UI/UX issues.

â Document issue resolutions, known errors, and workarounds in the knowledge base (preferably ServiceNow or

equivalent ITSM tool).

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Core - Mandatory

â Google AppSheet application development.

â Slicers, Filters, Views, Actions, and AppSheet Expressions

â Webhooks for event -driven integrations.

â Microsoft Power Automate.

â PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server – schema design, query writing, and troubleshooting.

â Demonstrable experience working independently, resolving bugs and enhancements with minimal supervision.

â Agentic AI principles - autonomous decision -making, AI -assisted workflow design.

â Azure DevOps for project tracking, sprint management, and CI/CD alignment.

â Strong analytical and problem -solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
