Graphic Designer, Brand & Creative

About the Role:

Milliman is seeking a versatile, conceptual Graphic Designer to bring innovative visual storytelling, meticulous attention to detail, and passion for design excellence to our in-house Brand and Creative team. You will collaborate across multiple business lines to transform complex concepts into compelling, brand-aligned visuals across digital and print platforms. This role offers significant growth opportunities for someone looking to expand their creative toolkit and strategic thinking in a geographically distributed collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Creative Execution

• Design and produce marketing and communications materials including presentations, brochures, conference booths, advertisements, social media graphics, email campaigns, mock-ups, and other visual assets.


• Develop creative assets using Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and Microsoft 365.


• Contribute to motion graphics, basic video editing, and interactive content as needed.

Brand Stewardship

• Champion Milliman’s visual identity and brand guidelines across all touchpoints.


• Develop intuitive, accessible templates that empower non-designers while maintaining brand integrity.


• Help educate non-design colleagues on brand guidelines and design best practices.

Collaboration & Communication

• Collaborate with a geographically distributed creative team, marketing colleagues, and business stakeholders to bring ideas to life.


• Clearly communicate design concepts and rationale during presentations and reviews.


• Participate in creative ideation, design critiques, and cross-functional projects.


• Be open to feedback and demonstrate a collaborative, positive approach to incorporating feedback into the work.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of relevant graphic design experience across brand, marketing, and digital, in an agency, studio, consultancy, or in-house environment.


• BFA or equivalent 4-year degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field; a 2-year design diploma or equivalent practical experience may also be considered.


• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, layout, visual hierarchy, composition, and conceptual thinking, supported by a compelling portfolio.


• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and Microsoft 365, with motion experience being a plus.


• Working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word for branded presentations and templates.


• Experience working within established brand systems, templates, and print production workflows.


• Data visualization and information design experience is desirable.


• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, time management, and attention to detail.


• Comfortable working with project management tools such as Wrike, or willing to learn and adopt established project workflows.


• Curious about emerging design tools, trends, and methodologies, with a willingness to learn and grow.
