Group Lead - Infra & Heavy Civil

Key Responsibilities

·        Operational Scale and P&L Ownership: Own Infrastructure BU performance, including gross margins, billable utilisation, project profitability, capacity planning, resource forecasting, productivity, and scalable deployment of civil modellers, structural detailers, engineers, coordinators, and project managers.

·        Global Client Delivery and Escalation: Act as the senior delivery and technical interface for enterprise infrastructure clients across North America markets; manage scope, milestones, change orders, RFIs, escalations, SLA adherence, and client satisfaction.

·        Multidisciplinary Delivery Leadership: Orchestrate end-to-end delivery across highways, bridges, drainage, rail alignments, utilities, grading, site civil, and airport airside and landside works, ensuring seamless coordination between geometry, structures, surfaces, profiles, utilities, and documentation packages.

·        Technical Quality and Design Gatekeeping: Lead technical reviews for horizontal and vertical alignments, corridor models, terrain surfaces, bridge structural detailing, rebar and pre-stressing details, hydraulic drainage simulations, rail profiles, utility coordination, and airport grading plans.

·        International Codes and Standards Compliance: Ensure all deliverables comply with applicable standards such as AASHTO, FHWA, UK DMRB, Eurocodes, Austroads, FAA airport design guidance, ISO 9001, ISO 19650, and client-specific CAD, BIM, and documentation protocols.

·        Digital Delivery Standardisation: Standardise SOPs, templates, libraries, quality checklists, parametric modelling workflows, automation practices, and BIM coordination methods across Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, OpenBridge, Revit Structure, InfraWorks, HEC-RAS, StormCAD, and related tools.

·        Quality, Risk and Governance: Establish robust QA/QC gates, delivery dashboards, peer-review systems, issue logs, risk reviews, lessons-learned repositories, and first-time-right quality controls for major infrastructure programmes.

·        Talent Development and Capability Building: Partner with Talent Acquisition and internal leaders to hire, retain, mentor, and upskill engineering talent through structured workshops in grading, cut-and-fill analysis, corridor modelling, bridge detailing, drainage modelling, utility coordination, BIM coordination, and dynamic CAD automation.

·        Commercial and Strategic Growth: Support account expansion, proposal inputs, delivery solutioning, offshore operating models, capability presentations, and strategic growth initiatives for global infrastructure clients.

Requirements

Required Qualifications and Experience

·        M.E. or M.Tech in Civil, Structural, Transportation, or Infrastructure Engineering.

·        15+ years of heavy civil engineering delivery and design experience, including significant exposure to highways, bridges, drainage, rail, aviation, utilities, grading, and multidisciplinary BIM/model coordination.

·        At least 10+ years of leadership experience managing offshore, distributed, or large-scale engineering teams for global infrastructure clients.

·        Strong hands-on command of civil design and modelling workflows, with expert-level familiarity across Autodesk Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads, MicroStation, Revit Structure, OpenBridge, InfraWorks, HEC-RAS, StormCAD, or similar platforms.

·        Deep knowledge of international standards, including AASHTO, FHWA, UK DMRB, Eurocodes, Austroads, FAA airport design guidance, ISO 9001, ISO 19650, and client-specific digital delivery requirements.

·        Proven ability to manage P&L, productivity metrics, utilisation targets, resource planning, quality governance, stakeholder communication, technical reviews, and enterprise client relationships.

·        Strategic, metrics-driven, technically rigorous leader with strong executive communication, cross-cultural management capability, problem-solving orientation, and a passion for developing high-performing civil engineering teams.
