Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your fault-finding and technical expertise in a dynamic and innovative field. You’ll work alongside supportive and collaborative teammates.

You'll play a critical role in ensuring the service delivery, availability, and reliability of our fleets and infrastructure equipment. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Production Managers, Test Members, Fleet Control, and Engineering Teams), provide technical support to autonomous teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our systems and processes.

You’ll specifically take care of troubleshooting and fault diagnosis, but also support training and planning activities to enhance team capabilities.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Providing technical support and fault-finding expertise to maintenance and warranty teams

  • Analyzing system event data to identify failure modes and compiling test/rectification reports

  • Supporting infrastructure maintenance and intervention at other sites when required

  • Collaborating with Fleet Control, Engineering, and Reliability Teams to identify and resolve technical issues

  • Assisting in pre-work planning for shifts and contributing to the development of accurate planning boards

  • Supporting knowledge transfer and training within autonomous teams

  • Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety and compliance

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • An Engineering qualification such as a Higher National Certificate (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

  • Practical experience and sound knowledge of rolling stock and infrastructure equipment

  • Technical expertise in fault finding and implementing repairs

  • Competence in the use of diagnostic tools and software

  • Proficiency in the local language

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency with IT tools, including office packages, email, and intranet

  • A logical, organized approach to problem-solving and a willingness to share suggestions for improvement

  • A demonstrated team player with a collaborative mindset

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from monotonous routines

  • Work with cutting-edge diagnostic tools and software to enhance rail performance

  • Collaborate with diverse teams and supportive colleagues

  • Contribute to innovative projects that make a tangible impact

  • Utilize our flexible and inclusive working environment

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

  • Benefit from our investment in your development through award-winning learning programs

  • Progress towards leadership or more specialized technical roles

  • Enjoy a fair and dynamic reward package that recognizes your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
