The KDN Digital Audit team is looking for an audit professional to join as a Senior and support the execution of AI enabled Data & Analytics procedures across audit engagements. The role is suited for someone with strong audit fundamentals who is keen to build practical experience in data, analytics, automation and AI assisted audit procedures.
In this role, the Senior will work with KPMG member firm audit teams, D&A champions, Assistant Managers, Managers and data specialists through the audit analytics lifecycle. The individual will support data scoping, data quality checks, preparation of structured inputs, execution support, review of exceptions and documentation of insights. The ideal candidate is not expected to be a pure technologist, but must be data minded, detail oriented, willing to learn new tools, and able to explain analytical observations in clear audit language.
•Support member firm D&A champions and engagement teams in identifying engagements where AI-enabled D&A procedures may be relevant.
•Participate in planning and kick off discussions to understand engagement scope, timelines, data requirements and expected outputs.
•Assist audit teams in defining data requirements and follow up on missing, incomplete or inconsistent data received from engagement teams.
•Perform data hygiene, validation and basic completeness checks on journals, trial balance and other audit datasets before processing.
•Prepare and structure data inputs required for AI enabled D&A procedures in line with agreed guidance and quality expectations.
•Work with data professionals and senior team members to support extraction, cleansing, transformation and issue resolution activities.
•Execute assigned D&A procedures using approved tools and document the work performed clearly and consistently.
•Review analytical outputs at a preliminary level, identify exceptions or unusual patterns, and escalate key observations to the Assistant Manager or Manager for review.
•Support audit teams in understanding outputs from AI enabled D&A procedures and help translate findings into practical audit considerations.
•Track open items, data issues and dependencies, and provide timely status updates to the Assistant Manager, Manager and engagement teams.
•Coordinate with engagement teams to obtain required data and clarify queries needed to complete D&A procedures within agreed timelines.
Support Analysts or junior team members through day-to-day guidance, knowledge sharing and review of basic workpapers where required.
Maintain confidentiality of client data and comply with applicable risk management, information security and firm policies

Educational qualifications
Chartered Accountant / ACCA / CPA preferred.
Candidates with strong audit experience and relevant professional qualifications may also be considered, subject to role requirements.
Work experience
2 to 4 years of post qualification or relevant audit experience in a large or globally recognized audit firm, professional services firm or delivery center environment.
Practical experience in audit execution, audit documentation, risk assessment, controls testing or substantive procedures is expected.
Prior exposure to D&A procedures, journal entry testing, audit analytics or technology enabled audit procedures would be an added advantage.
