Interior Designers - Senior, Junior & Trainee

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients to understand their interior design requirements
• Create design concepts and presentations for client review
• Develop detailed interior design plans using AutoCAD or similar software
• Select and source materials, furniture, and accessories
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors to execute design plans
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and quality to ensure successful outcomes
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices
• Maintain communication and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Handle on-site visits to ensure design implementation aligns with plans
• Contribute to team brainstorming sessions and design critiques
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Implement sustainable and eco-friendly design practices
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and trainee designers
• Participate in networking events to generate new business opportunities
• Ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field
• Proven experience in interior design projects for senior positions, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects for junior and trainee positions
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other design software
• Strong knowledge of space planning and design principles
• Excellent communication and client management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• In-depth understanding of color theory and material selection
• Experience with 3D rendering software
• Project management skills and the ability to multitask
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
• Understanding of sustainable design practices and principles
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and practices
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Certification or licensure in interior design is a plus
• Flexibility to travel for client meetings and site visits when necessary
