This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an IT Infrastructure Architect based in India.
This role is a senior-level architecture position responsible for designing, governing, and optimizing enterprise IT infrastructure across complex hybrid environments. You will play a key role in defining scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure strategies that support business-critical operations and long-term organizational growth.
The position involves working across cloud platforms, on-prem systems, and network environments to ensure high availability, performance, and security standards are consistently met.
You will lead infrastructure design decisions while also guiding operational teams in implementation, support, and continuous improvement.
The environment is highly technical and collaborative, requiring close coordination with cross-functional engineering, security, and operations teams.
You will also contribute to disaster recovery planning, compliance adherence, and vendor management initiatives.
Overall, this role is ideal for a seasoned infrastructure expert who can combine strategic vision with deep hands-on technical expertise.
Accountabilities:
- Define, design, and implement enterprise IT infrastructure strategies aligned with organizational and business objectives
- Lead the architecture, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure systems
- Oversee hybrid environments including cloud platforms (OCI, AWS) and on-premise infrastructure components
- Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance across all infrastructure layers and services
- Lead L3 support operations, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and escalation management
- Design and enforce infrastructure policies, standards, and best practices across the organization
- Manage disaster recovery planning, business continuity strategies, and data backup/recovery processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure solutions
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies
- Manage vendor relationships and support procurement and contract negotiations for infrastructure services
- Drive automation initiatives using scripting tools such as PowerShell and batch scripting
- Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and organizational standards
Requirements:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, with strong technical and leadership exposure
- Proven experience designing and managing enterprise-scale infrastructure environments
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Deep knowledge of Windows and Linux system administration, networking (LAN/WAN), and load balancing
- Strong experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, and related services
- Hands-on experience managing IIS, FTP, SMTP, and enterprise server environments
- Experience with patch management tools such as WSUS and SCCM
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity practices including antivirus management and vulnerability remediation
- Experience in disaster recovery planning, data replication, and migration strategies
- Strong scripting skills using PowerShell and automation tools for operational efficiency
- Excellent troubleshooting, incident management, and root cause analysis capabilities
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to mentor teams and drive operational excellence in a collaborative environment
