Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant with 1â2 years of accounting experience to support our finance operations. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of procurement and purchase processes, commission accounting, bookkeeping, and accounting fundamentals. Strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities are essential. Candidates with prior experience supporting GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Process and record purchase-related transactions accurately and timely.
Pass accounting entries for procurement, purchases, and vendor invoices.
Record and maintain commission booking entries, including commission receivables and payables.
Ensure proper accounting treatment of commissions, incentives, and related adjustments.
Maintain accounting records and perform day-to-day bookkeeping activities.
Apply Debit/Credit accounting principles while recording transactions.
Verify invoices, supporting documents, and accounting allocations.
Perform vendor and ledger reconciliations.
Assist in month-end closing activities and financial reporting.
Prepare and maintain Excel-based reports, reconciliations, and trackers.
Coordinate with internal teams regarding procurement, commission, and accounting-related queries.
Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with accounting procedures.
Required Qualifications
Bachelorâs degree in commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field (B.Com preferred).
1â2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
Knowledge of Procurement/Purchase processes.
Knowledge of commission accounting and commission booking entries.
Good understanding of Debit, Credit, Journal Entries, and accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including lookups, pivot and basic analysis
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting clients or operations in GCC countries (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain).
Exposure to Accounts Payable and Vendor Management processes.
Experience with any accounting software or ERP.
Knowledge of financial reconciliations and month-end accounting activities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
