Advisory Tech
The Advisory Tech team are the UK Technology Transformation team for Advisory, responsible for developing the KPMG Insight Platform (‘KIP’), which provides advanced technology to support the delivery of KPMG services.  

KIP is the primary data capture, management and analysis tool used in Advisory engagement delivery and supports complex analytics and the sharing of these with Clients through a secure portal. Within the Advisory Tech team sits the Data Operations team, supporting the delivery of engagements using KIP Self-Service Analytics.
The position in discussion is with the Data Operations team within Advisory tech.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities 

An PowerBI Developer  you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the reports for an organization using Azure cloud databases. This includes connecting reports to various sources, and implementing data security and privacy measures. The PBI Developer will also be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting data flows(gen2) and optimizing data storage and processing for performance and cost efficiency. 
PBI Developer will be responsible for migrating reports to higher environment and handling complex business logic.

Preferred Skills

• DevOps on an Azure platform
• Experience developing and deploying Dataflows solutions on Azure Cloud
• Inclined with Microsoft vision and road map around latest tools and technologies in market.
• Knowledge on Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Co-pilot, Gen AI fundamentals and industry supporting use cases.
• Microsoft certification’s role based. (PBI )
• Microsoft Powerbi hands on and working knowledge, to create reports/dashboards and generate insights for business users.
• SQL and Data modelling knowledge.
• Advance PBI Knowledge ,using MCode level changes.
• Microsoft Fabric : Good to have ( Intermediate)

Roles and Responsibility:

 

• Interact with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their data visualization and business intelligence needs
• Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI scripts and generate visually appealing and insightful reports.
• Knowledge of PBI Service and deployments and publishing reports.
• Integrate Power BI reports into other applications to provide enhanced business capabilities
• Create custom visualization and implement row level security on data
• Build data models and develop dashboards using Power BI desktop
• Develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with warehouse standards
• Work with application developers to design and develop Power BI data visualizations
• Use advance level calculations on the data set using DAX functions in Power BI
• Test formulas and visualizations to ensure their functionality
• Document the processes used and the methodologies implemented
