Job Description:

Job Summary:

A Lab Technician specializing in semiconductor testing is responsible for conducting tests and analyses on semiconductor devices and materials.

The role involves operating advanced testing equipment, preparing samples, recording and interpreting data, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

The technician supports engineers in the development, quality assurance, and testing of semiconductor products.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and handle semiconductor chips, Engineering equipments and instruments for testing.

Operate specialized equipment such as oscilloscopes, BERT, Signal Generators, Temperature forcing systems.

Perform electrical characterization, physical, and reliability tests on semiconductor devices

Test, Record, analyze, and report test results using

Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and ensure proper functioning.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols for handling sensitive and hazardous materials.

Assist engineers in troubleshooting device failures and process issues.

Document test procedures, results, and deviations accurately.

Manage inventory of lab supplies and ensure proper storage of samples.

Support continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes and lab operations.

Skills and Competencies:

Proficiency in using semiconductor testing equipment and software.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.

Ability to follow technical instructions and protocols.

Good organizational and time management skills.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions and cleanroom practices.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Qualification:

ITI/Diploma in Electronics or a related field.

Experience in a semiconductor or electronics testing environment is preferred.

Familiarity with semiconductor device physics and testing methodologies.
