Job Description - Lead Assistant Manager - Data Warehouse Architect / Sr BI Architect

Description
We are seeking a Senior BI Architect to join our dynamic team at ExlService Philippines, Inc. In this role, you will play a crucial part in integrating data from diverse sources, creating essential data elements to support New Story's operations. Your expertise will be instrumental in building a robust warehouse strategy in collaboration with our trusted vendor. Additionally, you will engage with data consumers to design and optimize reports that drive our business forward.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance and leadership in Business Intelligence (BI) skills and technologies.
  • Manage and lead projects for data and analytics solutions, utilizing Power BI and Azure to accommodate growth.
  • Participate in the design and development of EDW implementations, ensuring best practices and procedures are followed.
  • Lead Dimensional Modeling efforts, defining standards for Data Model Design and Naming to maintain consistency across layers.
  • Write complex queries and design tailored analysis and reporting solutions for relational and multidimensional databases.
  • Collaborate with Developers and Analysts to ensure successful development of BI reporting and analysis solutions.
  • Work closely with business groups and technical teams to maintain and enhance the data warehouse platform for efficient BI reporting.
  • Support BI tools upgrades, contributing to development, testing, and documentation processes.
  • Diagnose and resolve capacity issues and performance bottlenecks in BI tools, providing root cause analysis and recommendations.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring effective communication across teams.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience as a BI Developer/Architect, demonstrating a strong track record of success.
  • Expertise in ETL, SQL, SSRS, and Power BI, with a proven ability to apply these skills in complex data environments.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage and nurture vendor relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • A proactive and innovative mindset, with a passion for staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in BI.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying ahead of industry trends.
