Lead CAD Designer

As a Lead CAD Designer here at Honeywell, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement CAD standards and best practices. The Lead CAD Designer provides technical guidance and support to CAD engineers, reviews and approves CAD drawings and designs, and manages CAD software licenses. In this role, you will impact by providing technical expertise, managing projects effectively, inspiring the engineering team, driving problem-solving and innovation, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and promoting continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the CAD design team, providing technical guidance and support throughout the design process
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including engineers and project managers, to understand project requirements and ensure design deliverables meet specifications
• Utilize CAD software to create and modify 2D and 3D designs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design standards
• Review and approve CAD designs, ensuring they meet quality standards and project requirements
• Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to team members to improve design quality and efficiency
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in CAD software and design techniques, implementing best practices to enhance design processes
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize design workflows and increase efficiency
• Ensure compliance with relevant design standards, regulations, and company policies
