## \nCompany:\n\nQualcomm India Private Limited\n\n## Job Area:\n\nEngineering Group, Engineering Group \u003e Software Engineering\n\nGeneral Summary:\n\nThe BDC BT firmware team are looking for an\n\nadaptable, enthusiastic, and reliable individual to form an integral part of our BT controller firmware\n\ndevelopment team in Bangalore. The team develops complex new features and maintains Bluetooth\n\ncontroller firmware for products across the Mobile, IoT, wearable and hearable businesses. The team\n\ninterfaces with the BT test, host, audio, and application development teams. The Team plays a pivotal\n\nrole in developing complex BT features for the company\u2019s Connectivity products in accordance with the\n\nBT SIG specifications and custom product requirements. Working within our team provides a unique\n\nopportunity to work across engineering disciplines from higher layer software to low-level hardware.\n\nTypical tasks for the successful applicant would include:\n\n\u00b7 Design and development of standard defined (BT-SIG) and proprietary features in Bluetooth\n\ncontroller firmware\n\n\u00b7 Analysis and support bug fixes through the lifecycle of the project from ROM development to\n\nCustomer Sampling (CS)\n\n\u00b7 Communication of status/bugs/issues to leads\n\n\u00b7 Software and hardware debug of issues\n\n\u00b7 Working with colleagues across geos and teams to optimize solutions.\n\nAt least 6-10 years\u2019 experience in embedded SW development using the C programming language for Wireless connectivity products\n\n\u00b7 Experience in developing features for Bluetooth controller\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nMaster\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience. \n \n\u2022 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.\n\nProficient C programming skills and extensive embedded development experience, in the wireless communications area \u00b7 Experience working on BT upper or lower stacks and good understanding of BT controller specifications. \u00b7 Good to have knowledge of Radio fundamentals especially Bluetooth or WiFi \u00b7 Knowledge of Bluetooth sniffer tools, analysis of air traces and logs, usage of embedded debuggers. \u00b7 Work experience with ASIC emulators a plus \u00b7 Python scripting is a bonus \u00b7 Self-motivated, open minded, adaptable team player \u00b7 Comfortable with taking responsibility for their deliverables\n\nApplicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
