If you want to be part of an inclusive, adaptable, and forward-thinking organization, apply now.\n\nWe are currently seeking a Linux Server Administrator to join our team in Bangalore, Karn\u0101taka (IN-KA), India (IN).\n\nG5 - Linux Server Administrator (Intermediate L1 / Junior L2)\n\nRole Summary\n\nG5 admins handle moderately complex Linux server issues with a deeper understanding of OS components, file systems, services, and basic networking.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Perform in-depth L1 troubleshooting: \n * High CPU/memory consumption\n * Service failures with dependency analysis\n * Filesystem permissions (chmod/chown)\n * Manage user and group administration (creating, modifying, locking accounts).\n * Troubleshoot SSH, sudoers, and authentication\u2011related issues.\n * Analyze Linux logs using: \n * /var/log/messages\n * /var/log/secure\n * Application logs\n * Support patching cycles (pre-checks, post-validation, failure reporting).\n * Work with backup teams for file/directory restore requests.\n * Manage disks and LVM basics (logical volumes, mount issues).\n * Validate cron jobs and scheduled tasks.\n * Mentor and support G4 team members.\n\n\n\nRequired Skills\n\n * 1\u20133 years Linux operations/NOC experience.\n * Strong command-line skills.\n * Understanding of systemd, package management (yum/apt), log analysis.\n * Basic networking (DNS, routing table checks, iptables basics).\n\n\n\nAbout NTT DATA\n\nNTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
